"I see the beauty in the shadow of a fold, in the ripple of a piece of fabric"

Getting accepted to CCAD (a private art school in Ohio) was my goal after High School. I wanted to become an artist/fashion illustrator.
After my second year, while waiting for a bus, I purchased my first scratch-off lottery ticket and won 10,000. I paid off some school loans and moved to NY.
I decided to go to FIT and was told fashion illustration was dead. Photography is where you should focus.
A very wise teacher told me "find something you love and do it".
I found styling.
Soft goods, still life and propping are my specialties,
I've been asked several times, which do I like best?
My answer, whichever one I'm doing this week.
Being freelance gives me the opportunity to be somewhere different every week. Style soft goods for a client one week, prop for another one the next.
With propping, I like the thrill of the hunt. If an art director says "I'd like to get that but you can't find it this time of year". I'll not only find it but in three different colors!
I've found what I love to do and I'm doing it.
